Assistant Manager-Oxford Street

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join one of our central London stores. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager will manage and develop the sales team in order to maximise the sales, control the stock and cash following the Company guidelines and deputise for the Store Manager in their absence.

Role and responsibilities
- To introduce and promote all categories of merchandise demonstrating consistently high standards in all areas of branch operations.
- To be aware of and communicate both store and company budgets, assuring that all staff maintain an appropriate awareness.
- Support recruiting new staff in accordance with company procedure.
- Ensure all staff receives appropriate and necessary training to perform their duties at a high standard.
- Organising staff rotas and holidays.
- To ensure all areas on the shop floor are covered at all times of the day and all customer needs are met and deal promptly and efficiently with customer complaints.
- Assist in the layout and display of merchandise.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping throughout the store at all times.
- Use weekly line reports to maintain detailed stock information for practical display use.
- Be aware of all advertising/editorial in order to take every opportunity to promote lines.
- Help plan and run twice yearly sales.
- Oversee stockroom supervisor in the maintenance and replenishment of stock, transferring and receiving stock and the organisation of stockroom.
- Maintain knowledge of cash systems including methods of payment, refund, and discount facility.
- Guarantee end of day procedures are followed with cashing up and banking in line with MUJI guidelines.
- Work with the manager to perfect the customers journey with focussed customer service training and best seller information.
- Maintain awareness of security with all staff members.
- Ensure company policy on Health and Safety is adhered to, protecting both the employees and customers.

- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive and motivate performance through effective training and coaching skills.
- Demonstrable and strong business acumen.

Education and experience
- Previous experience in Retail.
- Experience managing teams.
- Proven experience driving sales.

What we offer
- Salary: £18,500 per annum basic + monthly commission + annual bonus

Logistics Assistant-Head Office - Central London

Logistics Assistant
Head Office Purpose
Reporting to the Logistics manager, the role will assist the UK and European Countries in the stock distribution, ensuring that the correct allocations and stock levels are maintained to ensure customer satisfaction.

Role and responsibilities
Oversee the warehouse operations, picking procedure and logistic systems.
Monitoring stock movement from the warehouse to the stores using computer software.
Review and process picking for UK and European countries to ensure smooth running of the warehouse.
Prepare picking and despatch schedule reports for all store deliveries.
Liaise with the warehouse and merchandising teams.
Assist in managing and controlling allocations with the merchandising team and warehouse.
Checking and reviewing warehouse operations.
Check warehouse systems to report stock situations to the merchandising teams to help provide solutions for stock allocations.
Delivery plans for each country.
Stock take management in the European warehouse.

Knowledge and skills
Good planning skills.
Able to build relationships.
Knowledge of Excel.
Logical thinking.
Highly analytical with good attention to detail.
Negotiation skills.
Team player.
Proactive, able to take initiative.

Education and experience
Educated to Degree level or equivalent working experience.
Previous experience in a Retail environment.
Experience in Order Processing/Order Management.
Good understanding of Supply Chain/Logistics principles highly advantageous.

Additional information
Occasional travel both within UK and overseas, including visits to the warehouse.
Flexibility required around working hours for occasional projects.
Permanent role, 40h/week, Monday to Friday. Salary: GBP17,000 per annum + Annual Bonus.
