Assistant Manager-Central London

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join one of our central London stores. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager will manage and develop the sales team in order to maximise the sales, control the stock and cash following the Company guidelines and deputise for the Store Manager in their absence.

Role and responsibilities
- To introduce and promote all categories of merchandise demonstrating consistently high standards in all areas of branch operations.
- To be aware of and communicate both store and company budgets, assuring that all staff maintain an appropriate awareness.
- Support recruiting new staff in accordance with company procedure.
- Ensure all staff receives appropriate and necessary training to perform their duties at a high standard.
- Organising staff rotas and holidays.
- To ensure all areas on the shop floor are covered at all times of the day and all customer needs are met and deal promptly and efficiently with customer complaints.
- Assist in the layout and display of merchandise.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping throughout the store at all times.
- Use weekly line reports to maintain detailed stock information for practical display use.
- Be aware of all advertising/editorial in order to take every opportunity to promote lines.
- Help plan and run twice yearly sales.
- Oversee stockroom supervisor in the maintenance and replenishment of stock, transferring and receiving stock and the organisation of stockroom.
- Maintain knowledge of cash systems including methods of payment, refund, and discount facility.
- Guarantee end of day procedures are followed with cashing up and banking in line with MUJI guidelines.
- Work with the manager to perfect the customers journey with focused customer service training and best seller information.
- Maintain awareness of security with all staff members.
- Ensure company policy on Health and Safety is adhered to, protecting both the employees and customers.

Sales Assistant-Central London

Supervisor-Central London

We have an opportunity for a Supervisor to join one of our central London stores.
Reporting to the Store Manager and the Assistant Manager, the Supervisor’s role will be to oversee the daily running of shop floor, organising breaks, banking and delegating task effectively to the team

Role and responsibilities
Sales and Commerciality
-To ensure all staff maintain high standards of product knowledge with reference to both new and existing lines
-To ensure all staff are using a proactive approach towards customer service using the best seller file and customer journey map
-Provide the highest standard of service excellence with regard to sales and after-sales service

Point of Sale
-Keep an up to date knowledge of all cash systems including methods of payment, refund policy, and discounts
-Guarantee all end of the day procedures are followed including cashing up, banking and bag checks as outlined by MUJI procedures

Staff Training
-Provide support to the management team on training staff to consistently achieve high standards of customer service, providing continuous updates on products
-To help induct all new members of staff as laid out by manager
-Ensure that the staff is efficient with all deliveries and stock systems
-Provide support and encouragement for all staff and feedback any particular training need to the management team

-Maintain awareness of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly figures and budgets
-To be conversant with weekly line reports and best sellers list and using this information to utilise the shop floor to its best advantage
-To help with all other general administration including rotas, personnel records, absentee and overtime sheets and petty cash
-Maintain responsibility for exercising control over all company assets and assisting in twice-yearly stock takes

-To aid the management team with regard to the general security of customers and stock
-Maintain awareness of security with all staff members
-Seek to heighten security awareness on the shop floor
-Ensure an incident report in filled in to record any unusual occurrences
-Take responsibility for security of the store as well as stock and cash and liaise with Area Manager or UK Managing Director over potential problems

Health & Safety
-Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy at all times
-Support the management team with all aspects of health and safety communicating any potential problems
-Ensure all health and safety regulations are carried out to their full extent

-Make a significant contribution to successful team working at the store
-Flexibility to work varied hours including late shifts, weekends and bank holidays

Warehouse Operative-Acton

We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our Warehouse Online in Acton.

Main Purpose
To process online sales accurately and promptly to meet customer service and sales targets

Main Duties / Responsibilities

- Pick products from warehouse as listed on customer order forms
- Liaise with Supervisor and Manager regarding customer orders received with items missing and / or out of stock in central warehouse
- Ensure that all items on order sheet are securely packed and boxed
- Ensure that all packed products are dispatched using the correct delivery service and correct postage has been applied
- Work accurately and promptly to deliver outstanding service to all customers. To assist Supervisor and Manager to undertake customer service enquires regarding deliveries / product knowledge
- Assisting Supervisor and Manager to address customer queries regarding location of orders and occasional telephone queries from customers to selecting the right product to meet their needs
- To maintain high standards of product knowledge with reference to both new and existing lines
- Personalising service to make customer feel at ease and demonstrate proactive selling wherever possible via the telephone

- Develop high standards of stock handling as per MUJI guidelines
- Ensure that operational and staff areas housekeeping and presentation is exemplary

- To assist in the delivery shift, carrying out tasks delegated by the management team
- Receive online ordered items from warehouse and other stores and process accordingly

- Make efficient and effective use of all warehouse equipment and systems
- Be fully aware of direct delivery and mail order processes
- Develop knowledge of stock control systems and ensure that standards of security awareness are maintained
- Assist where directed with all forms of stock control systems, including twice-yearly stock takes, sales preparation

- To aid the management team with regard to the general security of stock
- To adhere to company's security procedures

- Be aware of and adhere to company's health and safety guidelines
- Ensure "manual handling" best practice is carried out at all times in the warehouse

- Maintain high standard of personal attendance, punctuality and hygiene
- Make a significant contribution to successful team working at the warehouse

Salary; £7.85 per hour/40 hours contract
