Cotton Jersey Duvet Cover ‐ King

What is cotton jersey?

Cotton jersey is a knitted cotton fabric, commonly used for T-shirts and soft everyday clothing. It has a smooth surface and gentle stretch. When used for bedding, it feels softer and more flexible than woven cotton while still offering the breathability of natural cotton fibres.

Does cotton jersey shrink?

Cotton jersey can shrink slightly if washed or dried at high temperatures. To help maintain the shape and fit of the duvet cover, follow the care label, wash at the recommended temperature and avoid excessive tumble drying. Reshaping while damp can also help.

Does cotton jersey stretch?

Yes, cotton jersey has a natural stretch because it is knitted rather than woven. This gives the fabric a flexible feel and helps it sit smoothly over the duvet. The stretch also makes the cover easier to handle when changing larger bedding.

Is cotton jersey breathable?

Yes, cotton jersey is breathable because it is made from cotton. Air can move through the fabric, helping the duvet cover feel comfortable through the night. Its knitted structure gives it softness and stretch while still allowing natural airflow.

How do you put a duvet cover on a king bed?

Turn the duvet cover inside out, place your hands inside the top corners and hold the duvet corners through the fabric. Shake the cover down over the duvet, then align the lower corners and fasten the opening. For larger sizes, laying the duvet flat first can make the process easier.
