MUJI E-Gift Card Terms of Use
This guide explains how to use your MUJI E-Gift Card (also known as Gift Certificates) when shopping online at MUJI Europe (muji.eu).
Please note that E-Gift Cards cannot be used in any physical stores in Europe or internationally. E-Gift Cards purchased on muji.eu can only be used on muji.eu and cannot be redeemed on any other MUJI website in Europe or internationally.
Physical Gift Cards issued in the MUJI stores cannot be used online at www.muji.eu and are subject to separate terms and conditions. Please refer to the store terms for information on their use and validity.

Activation
E-Gift Cards are available from €20 – €500 and are issued in Euros.
Redemption
MUJI E-Gift Cards are redeemable online at muji.eu. Please note that E-Gift Cards cannot be used in any physical stores internationally or in Europe (including the MUJI store in Portugal, Finland and the Denmark concession store). They cannot be exchanged for cash or used to purchase gift cards, e-gift cards, gift certificates, or selected third-party goods or services.
Validity
E-Gift Cards are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase (see exceptions below). After this period, any remaining balance will expire, and the card will be deactivated. Purchases will be deducted from the card balance. Any remaining balance will stay on the card for future use. Cards may be used multiple times until the balance reaches €0 or expires.
Exceptions apply for the following regions – please see the validity periods below for selected countries:
- Denmark & Estonia = 36 months
- Ireland, Hungary & The Netherlands = 60 months
Please note that the validity period is determined by the country of the buyer, as MUJI does not hold information about the E-Gift Card recipient.
Returns & Refunds
Refunds for items purchased using E-Gift Cards will first be credited back to the original E-Gift Card (or to a newly issued one, if the original is unavailable). If the refund amount exceeds the original E-Gift Card value, the remaining balance will be refunded to the original bank card/payment method used at checkout. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Cancellation
E-Gift Cards cannot be returned or refunded except in accordance with your statutory rights. E-Gift Cards should be treated as cash and cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or damaged.
Changes
E-Gift Cards remain the property of Ryohin Keikaku Europe Limited T/A MUJI and must not be altered. MUJI reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions at any time and to take appropriate action, including cancellation of the card, where deemed necessary. This does not affect your statutory rights.
